Lohmann Introduces AviBlue Water Stabilizer To U.S. Market
Winslow, Maine (May 20, 2008) – Lohmann Animal Health introduces AviBlue to the U.S. poultry industry as a highly effective and visible means of stabilizing water for the maximum delivery of animal vaccinations.
Using only safe food grade ingredients, AviBlue's blue dye effervescent granules dissolve quickly without any need for mixing. Also, they leave no residual stains and won't clog spray nozzles and equipment, unlike many products that require frequent equipment disassembly and cleanup.
AviBlue is documented to increase the lifespan of live vaccines for bacterial and viral titers up to four hours, therefore optimizing protection for the birds throughout the vaccination schedule. This holds true even in less stable water conditions such as chlorinated or mineral-laden water.
AviBlue can be applied in drinking water or in a coarse spray application. All traces of the product, both visually and microscopically, vanish within 14 days of application. With its striking blue color, monitoring vaccine treatment in the water supply is simple. Additionally, treated chicks can be instantly identified because of the resulting blue beak, tongue or feathers.
